Living in Harmony with the Earth, Spirit, and the Human JourneyRaised by hippies and cowboys, I grew up between worlds, learning early that life’s deepest truths are often found in the rhythms of nature and the goodness of people. I currently make my home in Winchester, Virginia, carrying with me a lifelong commitment to living in harmony with the Earth and honoring the cycles that connect us all.
As one of the first generations to grow up celebrating Earth Day, ecology and sustainability have been woven into every part of my life. I strive to live as naturally and compassionately as possible. I do this by minimizing plastics, choosing chemical-free living, and walking gently on the planet. My environmental work has included serving as Co-Chair of the Zero Waste Committee of Sustainable Tucson, Board Member and Co-Chair of the Envision Tucson Sustainable Festival, and completing training as a Tucson Master Recycler and as an Ambassador of Sustainability. Before that I also based all of my work at the former T-Rex Museum around sustainability and education based on past extinction events and how we humans are creating the now 6th extinction event.
A defining moment in my childhood came while living on an apple orchard in Virginia. Exposure to orchard pesticides sent me to the hospital for a week, fighting for my life. That experience forever shaped my understanding of the body’s wisdom and its need for balance. Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to natural healing — exploring homeopathy, massage, acupuncture, kinesiology, herbalism, and energy work as pathways toward wellness. My early studies in Swedish massage, Touch for Health Kinesiology, and One Brain process methods continue to inform my belief that our bodies are powerful allies in healing.
A Life Rooted in SpiritSpirituality has always been at the center of my journey. Guided by the teachings of the Inayatiyya Order (formerly the Sufi Order International) and inspired by my Catholic grandparents’ open-hearted faith, I found freedom in exploring the many ways we can experience the Divine.
As a Coordinator in the Inayatiyya Order, I have led classes, meditations, and retreats — and created programs to nurture spiritual growth in people of all ages. I developed a Young Adults Program (ages 15–25) and a Tweens Program (ages 10–14), and currently lead the Children’s Universal Worship, a joyful interspiritual gathering honoring the unity within all traditions.
For more than 25 years, I’ve also studied Animist and Shamanic Journey practices in Arizona and Oregon. I am a Certified Animist Minister through the Web of Life Church (ISA), as well as a Life Transitions Spiritual Care Giver, Animist Pastoral Counselor, Healing Cherag (Minister), and Healing Conductor with the Inayatiyya Order. Through these paths, I offer gentle, grounded support for those navigating transformation, grief, or renewal — honoring every stage of the human experience, from birth to death.
Creativity and ConnectionPhotography is another form of my prayer. I love capturing the beauty of nature and the quiet wisdom of the world around us. My work can be found on Facebook and through Redbubble, where my images appear on prints and products that celebrate Earth’s artistry. From time to time, I also step in front of the camera as a body-positive, plus-size model, affirming that beauty exists in every shape and season of life.
My own path has been shaped by profound love and loss — experiences that continually deepen my compassion and capacity to walk with others through their own transitions. I also host conversations about death, dying, and grief through online and in-person gatherings, holding space for truth, tenderness, and community.
